Benefits of Joining Us
Benefits of joining us
We believe that when it comes to nurturing and maintaining relationships with our residents and consumers, every moment matters. This principle lies at the heart of our commitment to providing them with excellent care and services that enhance their wellbeing, quality of life and lifestyle.
As our most important resource, we rely on all our employees to ensure that we consistently deliver on this commitment by performing their duties to the highest professional and ethical standards.
We are dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, values based working environment that supports our employees in their career. Some of the benefits that we offer include:
Wellbeing Benefits
We recognise the importance of a balanced lifestyle and offer benefits for employees, such as discounted private health insurance and corporate gym membership for staff and their immediate family.
Employee Assistance
All employees and their immediate family are provided with the opportunity to seek confidential and independent assistance from qualified and experienced counsellors when faced with problems of a work or personal nature. This is provided free of charge.
Flexible Working Conditions
We recognise the need for work/life balance. Given the nature of our organisation and the fact that some of our areas operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, there is some flexibility in accommodating employee needs. In consultation with your Manager, days and hours that can be worked may be negotiated.
Learning and Career Development
We are committed to developing the capability of our employees. We provide regular education internally and encourage our team to undertake education activities related to their employment in order to improve their personal and professional development.
Salary Packaging
Salary packaging allows our employees to package a part of your income as a tax-free benefit, to pay off a number of approved items such as rent, your mortgage or personal loans through our provider, Maxxia. This can increase the amount of pay you take home each week.
Anglican Care is able to offer this benefit as the organisation operates under the public benevolent institution status and therefore exempt from paying Fringe Benefits Tax.
Immunisation Program
We provide our employees with assessment, screening and vaccination against specified infectious diseases in accordance with the NSW Health Department Policy Directive.
Parental Leave
Permanent and eligible employees are entitled to up to 9 weeks paid parental leave.
Work Placement
Work Placement
We work with a number of organisations to support students who are studying for a Certificate III in Aged Care. We are able to offer work placements to students in our various services.
